Online Registration:

Online Registration is a three step process:

1)  Please fill out the form located at the following link and click the "Submit" button to register for this tournament.

2)  Promptly mail a check or money order to:

3)  Monitor the "Registration Status" window on this page to verify that your team has been registered and your payment has been received. If your team's status shows as "Pending", we are waiting to receive payment from you. Please send a check promptly. If your team's status shows as "Registered", then we have received your payment and your team is entered in the tournament.

IMPORTANT NOTE

Placement in the tournament is based on a first come, first serve basis. Registrations will be processed in the order they are received and payment MUST be received by Lacey Storm Fastpitch Softball within two weeks to secure your place in the tournament. If payment is not received, Lacey Storm Fastpitch Softball reserves the right to cancel your registration and accept another team in your place. Tournament Rules

USA Softball rules apply to this tournament except as otherwise noted.

Safety rules as required by USA Softball

• All batting helmets must have facemarks and chin straps.

• Helmets must be worn at all times by runners while on the field including running back to the dugout.

Courtesy runners may be used for the current catcher and pitcher.

• Courtesy runner should be used for catchers when there are 2 outs to speed up play.

• Courtesy runner must come from the bench, your last batted out.

• Courtesy runner(s) must be different for a pitcher and catcher within the same inning.

Pitching Distance

• 10U - 35 Feet

• 12U - 40 Feet

• 14U - 43 Feet

• 16U/18U - 43 Feet

Team Line Ups

• Teams may bat entire lineup with free defensive substitutions.

• A player removed from the batting order, when batting entire line-up, will be counted as an out when she is due up at bat.

• Batting order cannot change once set at the start of the game.

Game Length & Time

• Seven (7) inning games (10U games will be Six (6) innings).

• Pool play games will be 1 hour and 20 minutes, finish the batter at the plate.

• Bracket play games will be 1 hour and 20 minutes, finish the inning. 

• No new inning may start after 1 hour and 20 minutes for bracket play.

• The current inning of play at the 1 hour and 20 minute mark will be completed, unless the home team leads at mid inning.

• International Tie Breaker will be used on all 12U, 14U and 16/18U games except for the championship game after the 7th Inning. 10U after six innings.

• Pool play games can end in a tie.

• Championship games will play out full 7 innings. There is no time limit.

• Substitutions, conferences, timeouts are allowed in the final 10 minutes of the game.

Mercy Rules

• 10 runs after 4 innings

• 8 runs after 5 innings

10U Division Rule Exceptions

• Base path distance will be 60 feet.

• Ten (10) players may play in the field. Four (4) Outfielders. No Short Fielder allowed.

• NO Dropped Third Strike.

• NO Slap Bunting

• Runners cannot advance on pick off throws or overthrows.

• Stealing Home Plate will be prohibited.

• Stealing 2nd and 3rd base will be permitted.

• Runner stealing 3rd Base cannot advance to Home on an overthrow to 3rd Base from the catcher.

• Limit of 5 runs scored per inning during all games except for the last inning of each game which runs are unlimited.  No run limit applied for the Championship game.

The home team for each game will be decided by a coin flip. The team traveling the greatest distance will call heads or tails. 

Bracket seeding will be determined by the following point system

• 3 Points for a Win

• 1 Point for a Tie

• 1 Point for a Shutout

• Forfeit games count. 3-0 score recorded.

Tiebreaker

• Head to Head

• Least Runs Allowed

• Total Runs Scored

• Coin Flip

Refund Policy for Rainout

• Complete Rainout = Registration Fee returned less $50 administrative fee

• 1 Game Played = $125 Refund

• 2 Games Played = $75 Refund

• 3 Games Played = No refund as 3 Games were guaranteed.

Score Reporting 

The winning team and losing team must report their scores at the end of each game for each game played. The format to report your scores will be to text the following example: “14U Yankees (5) vs. Mets (4)”
